Getting connected

My adapter doesn't show up

It's probably a Bluetooth Classic adapter, which iPhone can't use. See the adapter guide. Also close any other OBD app, then unplug the adapter for 5 seconds and plug it back in.

"The hybrid battery computer isn't answering"

Check the model and year. If they're right, this adapter may not be able to switch to Toyota's battery computer. Some clone adapters can't. Try an adapter from the list.

Which cars are supported?

Toyota Prius 2004–2015. RAV4 Hybrid, Camry Hybrid and newer Priuses are coming after real-car testing. Have one of these? Email us.

The VIN wasn't read

The App then asks for the model year, and the test works normally.

The test

What is a "block"?

The Prius battery computer reports the pack as 14 blocks of cells. The App reads each block's voltage and internal resistance and compares them with the rest of the pack.

Why the load step?

A weak block sags further than the rest when the pack works. With the A/C on max in READY for 60 seconds, the App watches every block and records how low each one goes. It's optional.

What does "Incomplete" mean?

A block that didn't answer is left empty instead of guessed. A missing block could be the weak one, so the App only gives a verdict when every block has answered. Try the test again.

Why does the result say "provisional"?

The verdict thresholds are being confirmed against real cars. Saved tests keep their raw readings, so they are judged again when the thresholds are updated.

Purchase

What's free?

The adapter and battery-computer check, the generation, VIN, pack voltage and current, the demo Prius, and one saved car. The verdict, block map, resistance, load step, battery history, certificate and unlimited cars are a one-time $14.99 purchase in the US (Lifetime). The Shop unlock ($34.99) adds branded certificates and CSV export.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Settings in the App and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the Apple ID you bought it with.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Safety

Can the App harm my car?

The App only sends read requests. It never writes to your car, clears codes or changes the battery fan. Test while parked, and don't drive during the load step.
